The Cedar River Soccer Association's Premier Program is home to some of the most accomplished soccer teams in Eastern Iowa.

The program is designed for those players (11 and up) that desire to participate at the highest levels of youth soccer.

Players are placed on teams following tryouts.

TRYOUTS

Players are placed on teams following tryouts and each team will be under the direction of one of our Professional Coaches. Tryouts are held in June. Following tryouts, coaches will place players on teams and offers will be extended via e-mail and phone call. Need-based scholarships are available.

TRAINING

Training for Premier teams takes place from August through early June (many teams will train into the summer to prepare for tournaments).
Training for teams age groups 15-19 teams during the spring/high school seasons will be held on a team-by-team basis.

Generally, teams will practice three times weekly under the guidance of their professional coach and may often have additional training opportunities.

Players will train once weekly during the winter months. Players in the program will be exposed to more advanced technical and tactical training techniques.

While CRSA Premier teams tend to be very competitive on the State and Regional levels, the emphasis of the coaching staff is on developing the soccer skills that will allow players to be successful at the high school and college levels.

PROGRAM

WHERE

Training for the Premier teams will be held primarily at the CRSA Soccer Complex during Fall and Spring. The complex has 3 full sized, lighted soccer fields. There is ample hard surface parking and restrooms at the facility. During winter times the club will utilize between CRSA Indoor Facility and other locations.

COACHING

The Professional Coaching Staff oversees and develops the young soccer players ages 11-19. CRSA is fortunate to have the largest professional coaching staff in Eastern Iowa.

All CRSA coaches have completed the licensing requirements of the United States Soccer Federation or other national soccer organizations.

LEAGUE & TOURNAMENTS

Premier teams will generally play in the Iowa Soccer League (ISL). Age 11-19 Premier teams will generally play 3-4 tournaments each season in Iowa and the surrounding states. Premier teams age 15 and above will also play in several of the top college showcase tournaments.
